"Building on sucess"
A ‘think tank’ event jointly organised by the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC), the James Lind Alliance (JLA) and INVOLVE, with the support of the UK Clinical Research Collaboration, was held in February 2010. It brought together representatives from large and small research funding organisations, research commissioners and other groups and individuals with experience of patient and public involvement in research priority setting and commissioning. The purpose of the meeting was to reflect on progress and to consider the future development of patient and public involvement in research priority setting and commissioning processes. "Does industry listen to patients and if so why?"
A meeting organised jointly by the James Lind Alliance and the Association of Medical Research Charities. This “Chatham House rules” meeting, supported by National Voices, drew together 30 invited delegates (AMRC & JLA secretariat/steering group members; staff from AMRC charities with strong patient group links; relevant external stakeholders) to debate the above question.
